Mutnomah sophomore Tyrese Taylor was named NAIA Men’s Basketball National Player of the Week for Week 8 of the 2021-2022 season
Taylor had two big games with a pair of double-doubles in wins for the Lions. In the win over Northwest (Wash.), he netted 32 points and pulled-down 13 boards, in addition to providing the game-winner in overtime.
Taylor averaged 27 points and 13.5 rebounds over the course of two games last week.
